In reflecting on changes I needed this year, it was apparent I need more joy. As I prayed on how to achieve this joyous feeling, I understood the plan of action – to get more joy, you have to give more joy.
It is that simple!
Unless, you are struggling to get out of bed, relationships are in chaos, or you can barely see any blessings at all. Giving joy is the last thing you feel like doing. Negativity is more likely on the behavior menu.
When I choose this method of madness, it makes my life more difficult. People don’t hang out with me, co-workers stop coming into my office, and family shorten their visits and calls. No one is into Whoa-Is-Me-Downer-Dee!
I am choosing Joy! I am laughing more, joking with people, being vulnerably goofy, and purposely having more fun. I still have the same problems and issues, but the road seems less difficult.
