As I walked one morning, I saw this flower under the weeds on the side of the road. It made me think of our hidden beauty we cover up with our flaws.
We concentrate on everything we don’t like about ourselves – our crooked nose, too many freckles, short legs, the fatty tissue under our arms that keeps waving after we’ve stopped! The big bootie, our food-catching-annoyingly-large chest, the crazy hair. Our weird laugh everyone recognizes, crooked teeth, the cane we must lean on, the wheelchair we are confined to, the limp we walk with.
We all have something we hide behind.
Don’t let your beauty hide in the weeds! Let it emerge in all its glory. Embrace who you are and stop waiting to fix your flaws before you show people your amazingness. You are beautiful just the way you are!
