When I read The Christmas Story of how God maneuvered a faithful young man and woman, I see the miracles of God as the child pictured below. In awe!
Mary and Joseph were engaged when an angel said to each of them Mary would conceive a baby, not by a mortal being, but by the hand of a supernatural God. He told them to travel to Bethlehem for a census, which he directed the Roman Empire to take, so Mary would give birth in a town that was prophesied 500 years earlier.
Danger was lurking as King Herod heard a newborn King was in his realm. He worked day and night to prevent this infant King from taking over his kingdom. God guided Three Wise Men in a way that threw King Herod off his plan and, ironically, saved our Savior.
It is important to look back through our travels and notice where God’s hand maneuvered our path. The miraculous way he gave us an insight, voice, or nudge to do something different from our plan. A sign, a reading, another person giving us information we knew was divine and not of this world. Years later, seeing an outcome that made better sense than the plan we navigated. These miracles happen every single day!
Are you looking? Are you acknowledging? Are you landing on your knees giving thanks for the miracles in your life?
Read The Christmas Story through the eyes of a child in awe. Look for all the miracles it took for Jesus to be with us, to save us. Then look back at what it took to get you here, in this place, at this time. Can you see?
