This weekend we celebrated Easter. Before we sing the Alleluia’s that Christ has Risen, we remember the very dark period after he died. Although they were told exactly what would happen before, during, and after his crucifixion, those who knew him best were heartbroken, confused, and questioned everything they thought they knew.
Isn’t that what we do when we doubt who we are, what we’ve done, or where we are going?
Why do we believe what the world says about us? Why do we let the words of others fill the space around us and absorb the negativity? When these words are constantly repeated in our thoughts, we tend to believe it. It’s called “Mistaken Thinking.” Or better known as “Stinkin’ Thinkin’!”
Replace those doubting words with the truth. The delightful, strengthening, loving, and wonderfully peaceful words of the one who gave his life for us, so we could be free of these sinful thoughts, and be worth far more than rubies and pearls!
Thank you, Lord, for saving a wretch like me! I am, undoubtedly, your Daughter of the one true King.
